To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download severe OSA my almost 44 year old son was diagnosed with severe OSA after spending the night at a sleep clinic where after testing he was found to have actually had 4 MINUTES of sleep over the 7 hour sleep test. Within 24 hours he was put on a machine which he & his wife of 23 years have nicknamed his newgirlfriend “Flo” as it forces air through his nostrils which keeep his air passage open. The first night was very uncomfortable he says, but the second night he had his first refreshing night’s sleep of his adult life. With so much sleep, he now has trouble falling to sleep. He is now able to cut back from 10 to 12 cups of coffee or cola to keep himself awake as a truck driver picking up large scrap metal with a crane truck down to just 1 or 2 cups a day. The secondary or side effects of the air blowing “Flo” are increased levels of carbon dioxide into his system which could possibly affect his internal organs, but more must be learned about that. Please keep your comments coming, as it is an important topic. Comments
