To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Living with Sarcoidosis My husband is 38 years old and had been diagnosed in july of 2008 with sarcoidosis Since then he has had a couple of surgeries one of which his appendice had to be removed. He is always complaining of pains in his joints and muscles and he also has alot of pain on the lower left side of his breast bone, i think that might be his spleen. His eyes have been affected as well as his lungs and possibly his kidneys. He can’t do much anymore. All he does is stay in bed all day long, everyday. He sees a rheumatologist pulmonologist eye doctor, cardiologist and ENT specialist. He is going through so much and i pray to god that he makes it go away. He just seems to be getting worse and i am afraid that he might die. He was on Prednisone for about 3 months and he started to feel better, but that prednisone had alot of bad side effects, like the onset of diabetes and he gained like 50 pounds. once he came off of it the sarcoidosis came back with a vengeance. Now everyday seems like a battle for him to live and all he says to me is he is tired of being so sick all of the time. Is there any hope? I will just keep praying, maybe when the time is right god will answer my prayers. Comments
