Living with Sarcoidosis

I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in January 1995. I was shocked because at that time I couldn’t even spell the disease. I have lived 13 years with this disease and for those who were recently diagnosed, it is possible to learn to manage it. I have had all of the symptoms and the arthritis has become my recent difficulty.

I decided early on that I would accept this disease and learn to live with it. When I had no energy, my body was tired, I’m unable to sleep, my eyes are red and hurting or whatever was going on with me, I would do my very best to get through that day. I recognize there are good and bad days but having a good team of doctors(doctors who will listen) support from family and friends and a strong faith in God is what has gotten me through.
