To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Sarcoidosis When I first found out I had sarcoidosis I was shocked as I was a 25 year old white caucasian male who was a fit rugby player, surfer, and recreational golfer(hacker). One morning I woke up with extreme joint pain. If I was to describe it is was arthritic pain in all joints and I walked down the stairs to my car like I was 90 years old. I went to the hospital they gave me anti inflammatories and requested a chest xray and then I went home. But the following day may joints mainly my ankles had swollen,so off to see my GP and he read a few medical journals and to his “medical delight” announced I had sarcoidosis (as I was his first ever patient with the symptoms) So then I was sent to a chest specialist and he said I was the mildest case. I am now 40 and have the odd chest pain and saw joints but fear it is comming back but have had chest xrays since and no signs of sarcoidosis fingers crossed Comments
