Multiple Pulmonary Embolims at 22

Hi, im 22 years of age, i exercise every day, eat a healthy balanced diet and i was diagnosed with multiple pulmonary embolisms a month ago.

I thought i just had a chest infection or something, but the coughing up of blood was a symptom not to be ingnored.

I have no risk factors, other than being on the lowest dose of estrogen (contraceptive pill)

Im not sure where to go from here, as the doctors have said it is likely for me to get them again, and it can be fatal.

But i just wanted to share with you my story, as i am only 22 and i am not on warfarin and this just shouldnt happen to someone my age. Young girls need to be aware of the risk that the contraceptive pill has on blood clots.
