Pleural Effusion

About 2 months ago, I had a sharp pain in my left ribs, which would increase when I took a deep breath or yawn. The pain never allowed me to sneeze. I consulted my doctor who examined me and since I had no other symptoms, she diagnosed it to be a muscular pain and treated me with pain-killers. The pain never reduced even the next week and I had fever ranging up to 102-103 deg F continuously in the evenings. Also I was beginning to lose appetite.

On consulting the doctor this time, I was asked to take an X ray. The X ray indicated fluid accumulation in my left pleural region. An MRI scan confirmed the presence of 100-150 ml fluid. The fluid was removed and a sample was taken for examination. The fluid mainly contained lymphocytes. I was then given AKT-4 tablets. Now my pain has reduced to a great extent but not gone completely. I still have slight pain when I breathe.
