To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Always hope I was diagnoised with stage 3 lung cancer. I did a huge mistake. I started to read statistics for surviving lung cancer Statistics had me dead within 18 months. Wow, what was going through my mind. I cried, my daughter needs me, my mother could not handle this. Why do I want to go through radiation and chemo My daughter would not let me accept this. We went to a cancer institute in Michigan and my daughter asked several questions. The first question that she had asked was statistics on the internet for surviving lung cancer My Doctor looked at me and told me that I was not a statistic, I am an individual. Several factors to consider, my age, how healthy and strong I am, if the cancer spread and NOT TO READ THE INTERNET anymore. My doctor asked me if I thought my life was worth fighting for and alot of my treatment dependeing on me. Be strong and fight this. Yes, I had cemo and radiation and the tumor swhrunki 95 %. I do get checked every 3 months to make sure the tumor is stabilized. And guess what! I am still here and it is going on 2 years.
