In October of 2006 my mom and I traveled to England and Scotland. She was 63. After a fall in Heathrow airport she visted with her doctor at home to check into a perceived muscle strain. They found a 4 cm tumor in her left lung.

a friend of mine gave up smoking a short while ago and then he became ill. he was admitted to hospital as they thought he was having a stroke only to be diagnosed with lung cancer and also on his brain and kidney.

I found out last weekend that my dad has lung cancer that is also in his brain. He went to the oncologist yesterday and was told that the brain tumors are first priority.

My dad, at age 52, was diagnosed shortly after my wedding in 1995 with stage 4 lung cancer. He had been a 3 pack per day smoker of Pall Malls (no filters). He was treated aggressively with radiation & chemo.
