My Mom & COPD

by: Tamie on Fri, Aug 10 2007

My mom was diagnosed with COPD about 5 or 6 years ago. Since then, we’ve watched her health decline. She won’t quit smoking and it has led to even more complications.

She now has 85% blockage in her carotid arteries, blood clots roaming around her body, and she will have two finger tips amputated because no blood was flowing into her fingers. I know how horrible this disease is to watch, I can’t imagine how horrible it is to have. I have quit smoking after 20 years and I hope I can help others.
