My name is Jay…I will be 31 in June, and I was diagnosed with Bullous Emphysema in mid-March, 2007. I quit smoking the day I heard the diagnosis, and, like Shirley, I have not looked back.

My mom has been living with COPD for 8 years now, which like in most cases gas got worse over time. Last year mom became unwell and taken into hospital, were she had to wear the NIV mask (non-invasive ventalitation)

I was just diagnosed with copd 2 months ago. I quit smoking as soon as i looked at my chest x-ray. I just turned 34 and i feel better than i ever did since i quit the dirty habbit.
