found relief after 26 years of cough

I’ve been reading the stories from chronic coughers. Wow! I’m not the only one in the world. I started coughing in 1983, after a severe cold. I have since had workups for every condition known to produce chronic cough. I even had the surgery for reflux, a Nisson Fundoplication Nothing made the cough stop. Finally after a google search, I found that a few doctors now believe a condion exists called laryngeal sensory neuropathy, or vagal neuropathy To make a long story short, I now take Ultram(tramadol), and finally have gotten much better. Gabapentin also works. The ENT that I see also has 2 other drugs he uses but I found I couldn’t stand the side effects of those. I had given up hope that I would ever stop coughing after 26 years. Yesterday I had a day with no coughing fits.
