To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Controlling asthma I’ve had asthma for 20 years (since 8 years of age). Although medical care is expensive, even with copayment and insurance, I highly recommend going to an asthma specialist. General practitioners are dependable, but since I started seeing a specialist last fall my asthma symptoms have improved so much that I rarely, if ever, have to use my albuterol inhaler. I won’t plug any specific prescriptions here, because I believe only doctors can tell you medicines you should or should not use. I used to wake up in the middle of the night “drowning” from being unable to take breaths. There were times that even after 4 puffs I still had wheezing and chest tightness. An asthma specialist has so much more knowledge, naturally, because he or she specializes in asthma. Mine even provides PLENTY of free samples; if you can get more than just a one-week trial sample, it is like getting a free prescription fill-up. When you get a month’s worth of free samples in medicine, the money you save is huge! The most important thing is to really follow your daily regime of medicine, no matter what–otherwise it can’t help! Comments
