That night around midnight I had a bad chill and I was weak and could not hardly walk. So my husband called the ambulance and they took me to the hospital. I remember being in the emergency room for about one hour. I did not know any thing else until I woke up four weeks later. My family told me that I had been on life support for three weeks. The second day I was in the hospital my kidneys and liver almost shut down. They told me that I had ARDS and double pneumonia They told me that the doctor did not give me any hope. But through a lot of prayers I made it. I stayed in the hospital for one more week. The doctor had give me an antiflamatory drug that cleared up my lungs. I then went to a nursing home for rehab for three weeks. I could not walk. I had to learn how to walk again. I came home one week before Christmas. That was a great Christms blessing. I would like for you to know at the time I was forty two years old. I went in the hospital on Oct. 22, 2008 and came home on Dec. 17, 2008. I went back to work on March 1, 2009 and I still have a little trouble with my legs, foot and arm, but I am doing real good now. Comments
